Calling All Golfers for the Maroon & Purple Shoot Out

There's still time for golfers to get on course for a cure and sign up for the Maroon & Purple Shoot Out Golf Tournament slated for Friday, November 21, 2014 at Golf Club of Houston.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will help fund national research of pulmonary hypertension (PH), a life threatening disease that affects several hundred thousand people in the United States.

The theme is Maroon & Purple because the golf tournament is taking place the week before the LSU vs. A&M game; however, we are encouraging all college football enthusiasts to come out and wear their school's colors. The event is sure to be a fun time for everyone and we really appreciate all of the golfers and sponsors who will join us to support our cause.
Sponsors include Bayer Healthcare, Actelion Pharmaceuticals, Houston Methodist JC Walter Transplant Center, Aqua Spa, and Stibbs & Co., P.C., Attorneys.

Participants will also have a chance to win one of three fabulous hole-in-one prizes-a Harley Davidson motorcycle, $10,000, or a golf cart.

Save the Date for The Woodlands CrawPHish Festival

The Pulmonary Hypertension Association’s Lone Star Chapter and The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals and are gearing up for The Woodlands CrawPHish Festival to be held Saturday, March 28, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. With expected attendance nearing 5,000 people, the Festival will be held at Town Green Park, located at 2099 Lake Robbins Drive to accommodate family fun, corporate sponsors, and live entertainment.

The Festival will include actives for the entire family such as:

• live music from local and national known artists,
• kids area with   children’s games, face painting, arts and crafts, rock climbing wall, and a bounce house,
• dancing,
• crawfish and BBQ

Entergy Texas, Inc. is once again the Save-the-Date sponsor. Painting with a Twist is again hosting an art contest for children ages five to 12.  The dates are November 8, December 13, January 10, and February 14 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The first 25 kids per session will paint for free. The Woodlands CrawPHish Festival is a community event designed to increase awareness of pulmonary hypertension. The ticketed event is open to the public for sponsorships and individual admissions.
